Motorcycle Engine Coffee Table
Another favourite high-school project was the coffee table I constructed out of an old motorcycle engine I had laying around.
Unfortunately, the project was not well documented and doesn't showcase much of my design ability, however it does demonstrate my skills in building and constructing physical products. The key skills utilised in this project were designing, welding, and fabricating the frame to hold the engine and table top in place. The table top mounts featured laser cut tops with hand-made bases that slid down the inside of the leg frames.
A car seat couch was also constructed to go with it for my engineering subject, however no photo's remain of its existence. The idea was to create a Top Gear inspired seating area in my garage at home. Both items were given away shortly after their construction.
Sadly, there are no photographs of the table with the glass top on and in proper context.
